Matteo Maggiori Named One of the 2019 Guggenheim Fellows

Matteo Maggiori was named one of the two economist recipients of the Guggenheim Fellowships for 2019.

“The Foundation offers Fellowships to further the development of scholars and artists by assisting them to engage in research in any field of knowledge and creation in any of the arts, under the freest possible conditions […]. Guggenheim Fellowships are intended for individuals who have already demonstrated exceptional capacity for productive scholarship or exceptional creative ability in the arts.”

The Foundation 2019 Fellows Announcement in the New York Times is available here.

Maggiori will use the support of the fellowship to further our understanding of global bond markets and their impact on households’ investments and firms around the world. The Global Capital Allocation Project is a core element of this research agenda.
