Maggiori Awarded NSF CAREER Grant

Matteo Maggiori has been awarded a NSF CAREER grant to study “Global Capital Flows”.

“The Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Program is a Foundation-wide activity that offers the National Science Foundation's most prestigious awards in support of early-career faculty who have the potential to serve as academic role models in research and education and to lead advances in the mission of their department or organization.”

Maggiori seeks to use the $444,584 grant to study how capital is allocated across the world using a novel dataset on mutual fund data. The research is joint with Brent Neiman and Jesse Schreger. The grant has supported much of the early research now included in the Global Capital Allocation Project.
